A West African traditional food supplement, bark of the African bitter root plant contains biocompatible soap-like compounds that are absorbed rapidly into the blood.
In-vitro, the compounds improve cell membrane flexibility and lubrication, to act as a cellular lubricant and enables old red blood cells to have some attributes of younger blood cells. Dosage (Adults):
- Users with arthritis: Take two capsules with water each 12 hours.
- Users with acute sickle cell disease: Take up to 32 capsules over 24 hours. Overdose can cause constipation.
