Double blind trial finds maximum tolerable intake of African Bitter Root Supplement

An independent double blind Phase 1 dose escalation trial of African Bitter Root Supplement completed on the 8th August 2026, at the highest dose planned, that is equal to a Maximum Tolerable Intake of 25g of African Bitter Root Supplement taken at one time.  

No adverse events or side effects were reported with any plausible association by any person involved in the trial, in any stage.

This trial established scientifically the safety of African Bitter Root as a food supplement, at doses well beyond those that are likely to be consumed by any user.   25g corresponds to 125 standard capsules taken at one time.
